Terms and Conditions 

1. Warranty Period

• The mattress is warranted against any manufacturing defect for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase.

2. Coverage

• In case of any manufacturing defect (specified below) within 1 year of purchase, the mattress will be repaired or replaced with an identical product.
• In case of any manufacturing defect after the first year, a prorated credit settlement will be made if repair is not possible.

3. Product Failure

• Warranty is available only for product failure due to manufacturing defects. 
• Product failure is limited to sagging of the core of the mattress. 
• Warranty doesn’t cover depressions of less than 1” for mattresses up to 5” thick and 1.5” for mattresses thicker than 5”.

4. Multiple Mattresses

• If more than one mattress is bought and one of them is sagged or damaged, the warranty can be availed only for the sagged or damaged mattress.

5. Exclusions

• Wear and tear of the fabric and stitching from regular use. 
• Preference in comfort level and firmness.
• Damages or sagging due to improper size and condition of the cot, uneven resting surface, and improper structural design of the cot.
• Damage caused by ironing. 
• Stains occurring after unpacking or removing the packing/poly bag and subsequent use at the customer end (must be reported within 2 days of delivery). 
• Opening of stitches (both quilt and tape edge) reported after 30 days of the delivery date. 
• Quilt loosening reported after 30 days of the delivery date. 
• Size variations of ±0.5” for the length, width, and thickness of the mattress from the specified sizes. 
• Smell due to usage in an enclosed environment, moisture in the air, use of air conditioner, excessively wet surface, or pouring of liquid on the mattress. 
• User-inflicted damages, damages caused by insects, bugs, rodents, or natural calamities.

6. Proper use 

• Warranty is available only under proper use of the product.
• Warranty is valid only if the product is purchased from an authorized Carewell dealer, distributor, Carewell website, or authorized marketplace.

7. Documentation

• Invoice and warranty registration must be provided to avail the warranty.

8. Warranty Service

• Warranty will be exercised by replacing the damaged product with an identical product. If an identical product is not available at the time of product failure, a similar substitute of equal or higher value will be provided, or a discount will be offered based on the pro-rata calculation towards the purchase of a new mattress from Carewell.

9. Decision Authority

• The final decision on the warranty will be made by Carewell Sleep Products Pvt Ltd. ​

10. Jurisdiction

• Disputes, if any, are subject to Hosur jurisdiction.

11. Effective Date

• This warranty policy is effective from the 1st of August 2022 and supersedes any and all previous policies, whether written or oral.

Calculating Pro-Rata:

In the unlikely event that your mattress is found defective, a complete replacement will be provided for the first year. If a defect appears after the first year of use, a pro-rata money-back warranty is applicable for the remaining 4 years. The pro-rata value is calculated based on the original purchase price and the remaining warranty period.

Pro-Rata Calculation Formula:

​Pro-rata Value = (Original Purchase Price / Total Warranty Period) × Remaining Warranty Period

Example Calculation

• Original Purchase Price = Rs. 10,000
• Total Warranty Period = 5 years 
• Defect Appears: Between the first and second year of usage 

​Pro-rata Value=(10,000  / 5)×3=Rs.6,000

So, if the defect appears between the first and second year, the pro-rata value in rupees to the consumer would be Rs. 6,000 for the remaining 3 years.
